Elijah lived an amazing life. He was fed by ravens. He saw the widow’s supply of oil and flour miraculously never run out. He raised her son back to life. And he faced down the prophets of Baal at Mount Carmel. Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years. Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops. Elijah was bold, he believed that the faithful would get an answer to even the most audacious prayer. He prayed through until he received an answer. Pray so that you may be healed, the earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. Elijah is a gate keeper in his own right as he allows passage from physical world to the spiritual world. 

Instructions: Light the candle with a match or lighter and say a prayer of your choice. You can put the candle out at anytime or let it burn to the end. Each time you relight the candle say a prayer to reenergize your goals. You can write your name on the glass of the candle to personalize the prayer. Use a black marker and write your name or another persons name on the glass. Or you can pull the candle out of the jar and carve into the wax any names, symbols, or positive affirmations that will help you reach your goals. After the candle has fully burned down you can throw away the glass.
